Architects Beta Testing Instructions: Accessing & Updating the Beta App (iOS & Android)

In order to access the app through Testflight (iOS) or Google (Android), you must first apply for the Architects program. You can join the Architects Insider Build Program here: https://scouttohunt.com/architects. Note: the Architects Insider Build Program is operating by invitation only at this time. Any admission requests that did not receive an invitation will be put on the waitlist.

Downloading the App

How to access the exclusive beta testing verison of the Scout To Hunt App

1. After registering you will receive an email from no_reply@email.apple.com

Make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox

2. In the email click the button "View in TestFlight"

3. Follow the instructions:

Download the TestFlight App from the App Store
Open TestFlight and click Redeem
Enter the uniqe redemption code given to you

4. Create your Scout To Hunt Account and/or Log in

You now have the lastest insider build (version of the app). This version is not currently availabe to the public in the Apple app store.

How to Receive New Updates (New Builds) through TestFlight

We highly recommend you turn on TestFlight app notifications and automatic updates. If you do so, you will receive a notification on your phone when a new build (updated version of the app) has been released, so you'll know when the Scout To Hunt App needs to be updated with up-to-date features, improvements, and cool things to test. We will also notify you via email.

To manually update the Scout To Hunt App:

Open the TestFlight App
Click the "Update" button
After the update is complete, tap "Open" to access the Scout To Hunt App

1. After registering for the program, you will receive a unique link that will direct you to download the exclusive testing version of the Scout To Hunt app. Follow the link.

2. Sign into your Google Account

3. Review the internal testing information

4. Tap "Accept Invite"

5. Tap "Download it on Google Play" to download the testing app

Take note of the Testing information after you tap "Accept Invite"

6. Tap "Install" to install app

7. Create your Scout To Hunt account and/or log in

You now have the lastest insider build (version of the app). This version is not currently availabe to the public in the Google Play store.

Updating the App (Android)

How to Receive New Updates (New Builds) through Google

Updating the testing version of the Scout To Hunt app is the same as updating any other app from the Google Play Store. Make sure to review the "What's New" section under the Update button in the Google Play store. This will have instructions as to what to test along with information about new features and builds.

1. Under "My apps and games" go to "Updates".

When a new release of the app is ready to test you will see the update listed under "Available Updates".

2. Tap Update to install new release.

Enabling Auto Updates

Search the Scout To Hunt app in the Google Play store, tap to view the app page
Tap on the Options button (three dots) in the top right corner
Turn on the Enable Auto Updates (check box)

Tip: Turn on Update Notifications

In the Google Play Store app, tap the menu icon (top right),
Go to Settings (gear icon),
Then go to Notifications (Manage notification settings).
Make sure "Updates available" is turned on.
